Capacity Building
We wish to achieve sustainable improvement in developing countries with our work. Therefore it is important to us to establish local structures which contribute to improved Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights also in the long term.

Euroleverage
Euroleverage is a unique initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation designed to bridge the gap between the world’s largest donors and the organisations that provide reproductive health information, services and supplies. The project runs from 2009-2012 and is implemented by DSW and its partners in 13 countries across the globe. It includes advocacy activities targeting decision-makers both in Europe and in developing countries, in order to increase European funding for RH/FP programmes. Simultaneously, Euroleverage also empowers NGOs to gain access to European funds through training and technical assistance in resource mobilization.

DSW strengthens the advocacy capacity and financial basis of Non State Actors (NSAs) to develop and implement advocacy campaigns for pro-poor health services through training and technical assistance. Healthy action is designed to strengthen partnerships, collaborative networks and coalitions.

At the same time, these countries are undergoing demographic shifts, with rapid population growth and a burgeoning youth population.
