DSW's Mixed Funding Policy
DSW’s national and international projects and programmes are funded with the support of private foundations, public funding and individual donations, as well as long-term private donors and youth club sponsorships. With a mixed financial policy, DSW’s income is equally composed of contributions from public and private, and from national and international, sources. This has minimised a risk of a fluctuating income.

DSW has received grants from:
- the European Commission (EC),
- the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA),
- and the World Health Organization.

Private donors and companies
Over recent years the support we have received from several private donors and companies has increased.
The generous support of the German clothing company BONITA GmbH & Co. KG is particularly noteworthy as they have supported not only DSW’s youth projects but also DSW’s two training centres in Africa for a considerable number of years.
See our Annual Report for further details.
